Getting Started
-
Yes I offer a free 30 minute consultation. This type of healing requires alignment on what therapy is, what healing looks and feels like, and goals. Because it is an investment both monetarily and energetically, I find it best that we spend 30 minutes interviewing one another to make sure we are a good fit.
-
Great question! Once we decide we are a good fit and want to proceed, we schedule a 90 minute intake and the two day intensive.
Between the consultation call and the intake, I will send you a personalized workbook for you to complete before the intake. I spend a great deal of time reviewing the material so that I feel prepared for our time together.
-
Yes, absolutely!
I offer a “trial brainspotting session” before the intensive to help in a couple of ways:
We talk about brainspotting, what to expect, how it works, etc. to get you familiar with something that is brand new
We try out brainspotting during that session so we know what kind of ‘brainspotter’ you are. This greatly helps me plan and prepare the intensive to suit your specific experience.
-
You have a couple of options.
You can either pay for the entire intensive upfront. I use an app called Ivy Pay that is HIPAA protected and designed for therapists
You can pay 50% at the time of booking and the remaining 50% 2 weeks before the intensive
If you want to add on any sessions between the intake and the intensive, that is the additional charge for 90 minute sessions.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the deep belief and knowing that we are wired to heal and only need the proper container in which to do so. While brainspotting is my primary modality, I also bring ‘humanness’ to the table and invite my clients to be themselves. Not in a performative way. Or a perfectionistic way. But in a messy and real way where we can practice being real and authentic. The real healing happens when your body feels safe and there isn’t a therapy modality that can force that to happen. It’s a natural place to arrive to when you feel like you can let down your guard. If I had to say my therapeutic approach in one sentence it would be “Brooke.”

Colonization and capitalism go hand in hand and in my work as a therapist and a healer, I encourage breaking away from the oppressive forces that have ended up in the healing space.
You can read more about my approach and philosophy on the homepage.
-
Nope! And I take great delight in bringing joy, creativity, spontaneity and fun into the space.
Yes we will have the serious moments. where tears are shed and your body releases what is has been holding. And we will also have the moments where we feel the urge to get up and dance, sing, stretch, stomp our feet, and twirl.

I challenge the status quo of therapy and what healing looks like
I do not like to use diagnoses. I find them limiting and problem focused.
I drop the facade of “expert” and show up in the room as my full self.
I see healing differently than what graduate school taught me.
My process was created by watching how people naturally heal and creating the environment to do just that.

I do not do well staying on the surface and neither do my clients. True change and ability to alchemize pain into power takes space, trust and time. Starting with an intensive is an intentional choice I have made for my practice for a few reasons:
Simply put, we get a LOT done in a short amount of time and who doesn’t love that feeling?
The nervous system takes time to settle- you cannot ‘will’ it into calm. An intensive creates the space for your body to be in the room and the healing work we are doing is in the body- so it’s kind of important for it to be on board!
The intensive lays a strong and trusting foundation for our work together going forward. The intensive experience is deeply personal, spiritual and sacred. Once we have gone to those depths together, every session that follows picks back up in that space and that is where true change happens and is sustained.
I 1000% believe in this model because it works. A lot of people shy away from the shadows - but it’s where I do my best work and the clients that are right for me share this belief.
-
For me, it’s less about the ‘who’ and more about being aligned in what healing looks and feels like. But if I had to put it into categories:
Adults who were abused as a child. This could be physical, sexual or emotional and could also include forms of neglect.
Adults who were adopted and feel that is a big part of their story, their suffering and their curiosity into the Self.
Adults who went through a big change and are struggling to make sense of the ‘new reality.’ This could be a literal change like a career shift, loss of a loved one, or changes in the family system. It can also be people who have had a spiritual awakening and need support sorting through who they were and who they are now.
Adults who are feeling very called to Spirit: to deepen their spiritual belief, spiritual practices, and spiritual identities.

No I no longer accept insurance. I have many reasons why I made this change, here are some main ones:
It interferes with healing. Full stop. The constraints that insurance puts on the therapy space became impossible to work with.
You have to keep a large client load in order to make enough profit to keep the doors open. I cannot be a healing person when I am maxed out, tired, hungry, drained, and stressed.
I do not believe that they belong in the personal details of someone’s life. Therapy is personal and sacred and they should not be in the room.
The way that insurance has created the structure of therapy is based on colonialism and capitalism and I will do my part to not support those oppressive systems.
-
I only offer intensives in person. The intensive intake can be in person or telehealth.
Follow ups can be either in person or telehealth.
